This year without work 20,000 workers
BELGRADE - In Belgrade this year as a consequence of privatization, bankruptcies and liquidations, 20,000 people will be left jobless, said on Tuesday the president of the Alliance of independent trade
unions of Belgrade Vlada Andric, specifying that without jobs will be left mostly textile and metal workers, employees in
commerce's and in banks.
Instead of new businesses and jobs, the transition process has brought insecurity and fear of job loss, and on the other side an unstable political situation and social "dialogue" of the government and trade unions only "on paper," Andric assessed.
