Production in Serbian car industry stops, union asks help from privatization minister
KRAGUJEVAC - The independent labor union of the Zastava car industry in Kragujevac, central Serbia, told a press conference Tuesday that production in the company has been nearly frozen for the past two months, and that the main obstacle in vehicle manufacturing is the Belgrade-based engine industry DMB.
The reality, unfortunately, denies statements by Serbian ministers who are advocating the preservation of the domestic car industry, union representatives said.
