More difficult phase of privatization in Serbia to start in 2003
BELGRADE - Next year will be very critical regarding possibilities for realizing economic goals, since the more difficult phase of privatization awaits Serbia, Belgrade Economics Institute expert Jurij Bajec said on Monday.
Addressing a press conference, Bajec said there was no transition recession in Serbia, or transition momentum, and everything achieved so far is a result of combined reformist moves, the country's opening, low starting positions, and major foreign donations. It is success that can be presented rather through quantity than through quality, he said.
