Only clean technologies in Serbia, says Mihajlov
BELGRADE - Serbian Minister for the Protection of Natural Resources and the Environment Andjelka Mihajlov and Privatization Agency Director Vladimir Cupic signed a memorandum on establishing direct cooperation in the area of environmental protection at the Serbian government headquarters on Thursday.
"Serbian citizens have no reason to worry that dirty technologies will enter the country through the privatization of our companies," Mihajlov said. The memorandum secures the coordination of the program of reorganizing our firms with the articles of the law on environmental protection, she said. The act secures for investors the legally envisaged guarantees of material responsibility for damage to natural resources and the environment during the period of business operation of a company before concluding a contract on sales of social or state capital.
