Yugoslav Parliament adopts revised 2002 budget
BELGRADE - The Yugoslav Parliament adopted yesterday a revised federal budget for 2002 according to which this year’s budget will amount to 71.9 billion dinars, up by some six billion dinars on the initial version.
Acting Federal Finance Minister Veroljub Dugalic said that the bulk of the surplus - two billion dinars - would be earmarked for the Defence ministry, of which 700 million for the special purposes industry and 460 million for the payment of previously owed pensions.
Additionally, 1.5 billion will be spent on a social program for the laid off employees of federal institutions, one billion as support to the Serbian budget and 500 million for stimulating exports.
