Otpor to turn into a political party
BELGRADE - Activist of the People’s Movement Otpor Srdjan Milivojevic said that this organization has reached an agreement on becoming a political party.
However, Otpor is in no hurry, and will not turn into a political party in the next month or two, said Milivojevic, adding that this decision was based on requests made by the people.
He said the organization members would continue to criticize those in power who are not performing their duties and noted that the people voiced their dissatisfaction with the political offer when they refused cast ballots in the recent presidential elections.
Milivojevic underlined that Otpor’s plans to become a political party are an expression of its dissatisfaction with the incumbent authorities.
This party is considering all options, including participation in the parliamentary elections next year, said Milivojevic.
