Shortage of electric power in Kosovo-Metohija
PRISTINA - Electric power generation and distribution facilities in Kosovo-Metohija are still operating far below capacity and four-hour power cuts alternate with two-hour periods with the power on.
Facilities of the Kosovo A thermo-electric power plant are currently generating 240 mw, and some power is imported, but this covers only 40 percent of the province's needs.
