Investors put off by high social welfare demands
NOVI SAD – Potential investors in Serbian industry are being put of by the high social welfare demands with which they are presented, said Serbian Finance Minister Bozidar Djelic, and director of the Agency for Privatization Vladimir Cupic.
“I think we have to stop and take stock of how far we can reduce social programmes for investors on one hand, and on the other, how much involvement is required by the government in solving issues of the workers’ social welfare when they are without work,” Cupric said to Novi Sad’s “Gradanski List”.
