New budget open to corruption - Danijel Cvjeticanin
BELGRADE – DSS Economy Minister Danijel Cvjeticanin said today that next year’s budget is a “budget of obstinacy”. It will leave the economy open to corruption and miss-use.
He said that a budget adopted by the state parliament without representatives from DSS and the opposition is not transparent.
Funds for government programmes are “ill thought out”, just as the reason why they have been increased from last year, said Cvjeticanin. He called for the budget to be investigated by a team of international experts.
DSS functionary Rade Obradovic said that the 2003 budget plans for spending foreign donations and credits are unclear and lack rationale. He added that the budget will result in high public spending and a growth in deficit, which is “untenable politics”.
