Trade with EU to increase through development of entrepreneurship
BELGRADE - The development of small and medium sized enterprises should help us achieve maximum improvement in trade with the European Union, head of the Yugoslav Foreign Ministry Directorate for the EU Dusko Lopandic said at a seminar on the SME cooperation with the European Union, held at the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce on Friday.
Speaking at the seminar, organized by the Euro Info Correspondent Centre (EICC) and the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce, Lopandic said that both our exports to and imports from the EU member-countries were on the rise, but added that imports were increasing at a much speedier rate than exports, which remained at the annual level of 800 million euros, resulting in a sharp increase of the foreign trade deficit.
