New Montenegrin cabinet announcement postponed
PODGORICA - Montenegrin Parliament's session at which the new Montenegrin cabinet's make-up was to be announced has been postponed due to additional party consultations.
According to unofficial information, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) is dissatisfied with certain choices by prime minister designate Milo Djukanovic.
According to the coalition agreement between Milo Djukanovic's Democratic Party of Socialists and the SDP, one fifth of executive power belongs to the Social Democrats.
Also, partners have to establish the names of ministers with three most important portfolios - finance, police and foreign affairs - by consensus.
New government is reported to have 15 instead of former 16 portfolios. New one is the ministry for European integration, while ministries of religion and trade will be abolished.
Djukanovic also proposed that the new cabinet have four instead of incumbent three deputy prime ministers.
