Minister Djelic on economic policy for next year
BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Finance and Economics Bozidar Djelic said on Thursday that the economic policy for next year should maintain the country's macro-economic stability, stepped-up privatization, and growing production and exports, which is a precondition for Serbia's speedy economic growth.
Speaking at a symposium of economists, businessmen and bankers on economic trends and economic policy options for the year 2003 at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Djelic said Serbia's economy needs a two-digit figure for exports growth next year in order to pay off its foreign debt and increase its competitiveness on the world market.
