Reforms completed only half-way, says Deputy PM Labus
BELGRADE - The reforms of the banking system and foreign trade, liberalization of prices, and privatization of small and medium-sized companies are the greatest successes of Yugoslavia's transition this year, Yugoslav Deputy Premier Miroljub Labus said on Thursday, commenting on a report by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
"We are only half-way through transition and the results are good, but we must not become complacent," Labus said at a presentation of the EBRD report on transition in 2002 in countries of central and eastern Europe at Belgrade's Hyatt Hotel.
