Russian businesses may invest in Belgrade construction
BELGRADE. Dec 12 (Interfax-Moscow) - The Moscow business community may invest in building projects in Belgrade under an agreement signed on Thursday.
"Our doors will be open for your investors," Belgrade Mayor Radmila Hrustanovic told a news conference after she and her Moscow counterpart, Yuri Luzhkov, clinched the deal during talks in the Yugoslav capital.
She said the money will go into the construction of new buildings such as hotels, business centers, and shopping centers, and reconstruction of buildings damaged by the 1999 NATO air strikes.
Luzhkov said that Moscow would soon send construction specialists and potential investors to Belgrade to study the projects.
