Dinkic says amount of cash in circulation is dropping
BELGRADE - In October and November, the country's hard currency reserves and money supply were at the same level, while cash accounted for 32 percent of circulation in November, the lowest percentage this year, National Bank of Yugoslavia (NBY) Governor Mladjan Dinkic said on Wednesday.
Speaking at a news conference, Dinkic announced a further reduction of cash in circulation, especially when a mass use of credit and debit cards starts functioning in 2003.
