Kostunica: I was misinterpreted
BELGRADE - Yugoslav President Vojislav Kostunica has denied telling the London daily The Times that Belgrade would no longer extradite war crimes suspects to the Hague Tribunal.
According to the Yugoslav President’s office, Kostunica told this daily that “true cooperation will hardly be possible in future if it continues to be one-sided”.
The office said “this is not the first and probably not the last time that Yugoslav President’s statement on cooperation with the Hague Tribunal was misinterpreted or taken out of context, instead of being quoted”.
