Serbian government ready to talk to all trade unions
BELGRADE - The Serbian government said on Wednesday, after a protest by members of trade unions of major public companies outside its building in downtown Belgrade, that it respects the right of all employees to express their stands in public protests, as long as this does not jeopardize citizens, and said it is ready for talks with representatives of all trade unions.
"By adopting reform-related laws, the Serbian government envisaged the active participation of trade unions in the process of adopting business operations, primarily of public companies, to the principles of a market economy," the government PR Office said.
