Covic: Everyone lost in the elections
BELGRADE - Democratic Alternative leader Nebojsa Covic said today that “everyone lost” when Serbian presidential elections failed, “even those who rejoice for no reason” and assessed that the presidential crisis would be resolved through a debate between democratic forces.
Covic expressed his regrets over the low turnout in the presidential vote and added that “the rules of the game cannot be changed once the game has started”.
Covic said that the law on the electoral census must be honored and noted that no one voted against it in the Parliament.
He also pointed out that all parties knew that the electoral rolls were poorly maintained even before the elections were held.
