Opinion poll: Standard of living has improved
BELGRADE - Approximately thirty percent of Serbian citizens are of the opinion that the standard of living in 2002 was better than that in the previous years, approximately the same number of people say there has been no change, while 24 per cent claim to have felt a drop in their living standard, show the results of a survey published by the daily Politika.
The survey was conducted by Politika and the marketing agency Faktor plus on a sample of 1,500 Serbian citizens of whom 18 per cent declined to answer any of the questions.
Asked to say what their expectations for 2003 are, 38 per cent of the polled said they were not expecting any improvements and 11 per cent said that things would change for the worse which, writes Politika, is a sign of the people’s growing optimism.
The survey results show that 33 per cent of the polled are not expecting any major changes in the course of next year, while 18 percent declined to answer this question.
