Ljubljana-Belgrade air route renewed after a decade
LJUBLJANA - An airliner of the Yugoslav national airline JAT is to land at the Ljubljana airport Brnik today for the first time in ten years, after JAT and its Slovenian counterpart Adria Airways finally agreed in early November to resume the flights connecting the two capitals, cancelled after the break-up of former Yugoslavia.
According to the Adria spokesperson Ljerka Zupancic, JAT is to operate flights in both directions until March next year. If the route turns out to be busy, Adria is to provide flights as well. The flights are to be held three times a week.
One-way ticket Belgrade-Ljubljana will cost US$ 175 and US$ 220 for the economy and business class respectively.
Among the passengers on the first Yugoslav airliner to land in Ljubljana after more than a decade today will be Serbian Minister of Transport and Telecommunications Marija Raseta Vukosavljevic, Minister of Trade and Tourism Slobodan Milosavljevic, JAT chief executive Predrag Vujovic.
