Labus's statement part of turmoil in Serbia, says Krgovic
PODGORICA - Montenegrin Central Bank Council President Ljubisa Krgovic said on Friday the statement by Yugoslav Deputy Premier Miroljub Labus that Montenegro will communicate with international monetary institutions through the National Bank of Serbia and the federal government, and similar statements by Yugoslav National Bank (NBJ) Governor Mladjan Dinkic, are part of the political turmoil in Belgrade.
"The latest document of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) does not mention that such conditions need to be met for a continued arrangement with that institution," Krgovic told reporters in Podgorica, adding that "the status of Serbia and Montenegro can be resolved only after the signing of the constitutional charter."
