Premier claims Serbia "stable place" for investments
BERLIN - Serbia is a stable place for foreign investments and is strongly committed to Europe and European integration, Serbian Premier Zoran Djindjic said yesterday in Berlin.
Addressing a conference on the 50th anniversary of the German economic committee for the East, Djindjic said that Serbia's geographic position in the centre of a new market in Europe, a region with a population of over 50 million, was yet another advantage.
Djindjic pointed out the importance of reforms in Serbia and asked for Europe’s assistance.
The year 2003 should be a year establishing regional free trade zones and higher foreign investments,
Djindjic said.
