Vlahovic says Vojvodina will get half of privatization funds
NOVI SAD - Serbian Minister of Economy and Privatization Aleksandar Vlahovic said on Tuesday that the Serbian government would next week adopt a bill on
privatization, under which Vojvodina would get half of the money earned through the
privatization of enterprises in its territory.
The bill would be sent to the Serbian parliament for adoption in an urgent procedure by the end of the year, Vlahovic said and thus denied claims made by Serbian Deputy Premier Miodrag Isakov that this ministry had no intention of returning half of the income earned through the
privatization of Vojvodina enterprises to the province instead of the present five percent.
