Wheat sown at about 95 percent of farms in Serbia
BELGRADE - Serbia's autumn sowing season is near the end and 95 percent of the planned 620,000 hectares have been sown so far, Serbian Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources Management Dragan Veselinov said on Tuesday.
In case of stable weather, the yield of wheat could reach at least two million tones, which would be enough both to satisfy domestic needs and for export, Veselinov told reporters at the Serbian government.
