US might approve cooperation with Serbia next week
BELGRADE - Serbian Minister for International Economic Relations Goran Pitic said on Monday that companies from the United States are interested in investing in air transport, agriculture, chemical and machine industries in Serbia, expressing his hope that the US Administration will give next week green light to the country's companies regarding cooperation with Serbian counterparts.
Following his presentation at the investment conference on how to succeed in Serbia, Pitic told reporters that the Jugoimport SDPR scandal involving arms export to Iraq happened at the worst possible moment. However, Pitic was confident that this would not have a negative effect on potential investors' decision to invest in Serbia.
