Serbia aims to be the centre of the region, Djindjic
BELGRADE - Serbia's strategic aim is to become the economic centre of South East Europe with a market without barriers, with about 60 million consumers and the highest social growth in the region, Serbian Premier Zoran Djindjic said on Monday.
Speaking before the participants of an investment meeting at a luncheon in the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Belgrade, Djindjic agreed that South East Europe is an economically
underdeveloped region, with the exception of Greece whose annual Gross National Product equals that of all eight remaining countries.
