Stepped-up auction privatization of 1,096 companies
UZICE - Deputy Serbian Minister of Economy and Privatization Mirko Cvetkovic said on Monday that 1,096 Serbian companies are currently in the process of stepped-up auction privatization, including 578 that have submitted privatization programs.
In talks with businessmen of the districts of Mt Zlatibor and the River Moravica at the Regional Chamber of Commerce in the western town of Uzice, Cvetkovic announced that privatization in Serbia will be completed by the planned deadline provided 70 companies are sold at monthly auctions in the coming period, which he said was realistic.
