Vlahovic says tender for sale of sugar plant in Crvenka legal
BELGRADE - The Serbian Ministry of Economy and Privatization reviewed the course of the tender privatization of 70 percent of the social capital of the Crvenka a.d. sugar refinery of the northern town of Crvenka, and established that the procedure was conducted in keeping with the elementary principles of the privatization law, Minister Aleksandar Vlahovic said on Friday.
Addressing a press conference, Vlahovic said there were no reasons to halt the privatization of this plant, and said the procedure could be completed in the next 10 days. The Ministry will instruct the relevant commission to resume negotiations with one potential buyer - the Hellenic Sugar Industry, he said.
