Serbian Finance Minister: Suspension of tax social measure
Belgrade - 'There is a significant number of people that have rather low living standard. On the other hand we do not have elaborated programs to protect such people. That is why the Government proposed suspension of tax on trade with sugar and oil', Serbian Finance Minister Bozidar Djelic explains for 'Economist' magazine.
'The Government is working on such programs. That will prevent illegal trade that the authorities are presently not capable to deal with', Djelic said.
These exceptions as well as introduction of VAT will be in force until the end of 2003.
