Switzerland writes off 177 million euros of Yugoslavia's debt
BELGRADE - Yugoslav Deputy Prime Minister Miroljub Labus and Swiss Ambassador to Yugoslavia Gaudenz Ruf on Thursday signed a bilateral agreement on the write-off of part of Yugoslavia's debt at the amount of 177 million euros, based on an agreement with the Paris Club of creditors.
After the signing, Labus told reporters that after the write-off, Yugoslavia still owed 91 million euros to Switzerland and that this amount would be repaid in the next 26 years with a six-year grace period.
