United States writes off part of Yugoslav debt
BELGRADE - Yugoslav Foreign Minister Goran Svilanovic and US Ambassador William
Montgomery signed in Belgrade on Thursday an agreement under which the United States wrote off 66 percent of Yugoslavia's non-concession debts.
Of the overall debt of 589.4 million dollars which Yugoslavia owes to the Paris Club, today's agreement wrote off 353.7 million dollars.
