Center for free market about reforms - Two years lost
Belgrade - Liberalization of market has been only partially carried out. Privatization is at the beginning, conditions for foreign investments are still bad while macroeconomic stabilization is not based on realistic foundation. This is conclusion of expert team of the Center for free market at yesterday's presentation of publication titled 'Two years of reforms in Serbia: lost chance'.
'Instead of starting fundamental reforms the authorities in Serbia were using foreign help to artificially improve living standard and create illusion of improvement. With that money politicians were buying time and keeping the existing situation instead of creating opportunities for private investments crucial for economic renewal. There was no constitutional and legal reconstruction of the State and society but the practice of concentration of power and bureaucratic conducting of economy was continued', the publication concludes.
