Average salary in Serbia covers minimal monthly food supplies, Minister
BELGRADE - Serbian Trade and Tourism Minister Slobodan Milosavljevic said Wednesday that in August an average salary was for the first time sufficient to feed a family of four, which means that the
government has achieved its objective four months ahead of plan.
At a press conference devoted to the purchasing power of the population, Milosavljevoic said that on the basis of all indicators the real purchasing power and standard of
living in Serbia were "going upward."
