Savic says salaries grow faster than industrial production
BELGRADE - Yugoslavia's foreign trade increased by one-third in August in comparison with the same month last year, industrial production dropped less than expected, but the average salary grew faster than the production level, which may encourage inflation in the next two or three months, Economic Institute Director Nebojsa Savic said on Tuesday.
Savic said that the average net salary in August amounted to about 9,900 dinars (160 euros), which was by one percent more than the estimated five percent of growth in comparison with July.
