Changes ahead for privatization law
NOVI SAD – Serbia’s privatization minister said today that the Serbian Government is to seek changes to
privatization legislation.
Speaking to media in Novi Sad, Aleksandar Vlahovic said that the changes concerned the distribution of funds raised through
privatization.
The amendments would provide for fifty per cent of funds to go to the Development Fund, five per cent to
denationalization, ten per cent to top up the Pension Fund and the remainder into consolidated revenue.
Half of the revenue allocated to the development fund would go into the local fund in Vojvodina, added Vlahovic.
“Revenue form the provincial and republic development funds will be earmarked for boosting the private sector in Vojvodina,” said the minister, adding that other parts of Serbia would receive their revenue solely from the republic fund.
