Ilic pulls out of presidential race
NIS – New Serbia leader Velimir Ilic today announced he would withdraw his nomination for the Serbian presidential elections and throw his support behind Vojislav Kostunica.
Ilic, who is the mayor of the central Serbian city of Cacak, said he would greet Kostunica in the city’s central square tonight when the Yugoslav president arrived to speak at an election rally.
Ilic has consistently insisted that the international community favors him as Serbian president.
