Event at Maize Research Institute Zemun Polje near Belgrade
BELGRADE - An event promoting the ZP maize hybrid was held at the Maize Research Institute in Belgrade's western suburb of Zemun Polje on Wednesday, and it was attended by over 1,000 visitors from Russia, Singapore, Hungary, Macedonia, Turkey, Romania, Ukraine, Greece and Yugoslavia.
As during previous decades, the institute this year continued work on creating new high-yielding and quality ZP maize hybrids for various ecological conditions at home and abroad. The
institute has so far registered 439 different maize hybrids, including 22 last year and 17 so far this year.
