Agreement signed on donation of 20,000 tones of US soybean meal
BELGRADE - Serbian Agriculture Minister Dragan Veselinov and Deputy US Ambassador to Yugoslavia Robert Norman signed in Belgrade on Tuesday an agreement on the donation of 20,000
tones of US soybean meal at the value of 5.5 million dollars.
Norman said that the US Agriculture Department's assistance was aimed at rehabilitating the Serbian agriculture and that the Ministry of Social Affairs would be in charge of the funds earned through the sales of soybean meal. The Ministry will use these funds to pay pensions to Serbian farmers and for other humanitarian purposes.
