Pirot garment industry exports to The Netherlands
PIROT - The Prvi Maj garment industry of the southern Serbian town of Pirot produces 18,000-20,000 men's suits monthly for the Dutch market, and the technical director of the Dutch textile giant UFM Verkun visited the factory these days to discuss updating production for The Netherlands.
Other major buyers of Pirot ready-to-wears are companies in Germany, Spain and France, so that 80 percent of the factory's capacities are engaged for exports and the remainder is sold on the domestic market.
