Public Services director in Topola arrested
KRAGUJEVAC – The director of the Public Services Authority in the central Serbian town of Topola has been arrested in connection with a recent outbreak of dysentery in the town.
Miodrag Bogicevic has been charged with being responsible for pollution of the environment and remanded in
custody. Hundreds of townspeople were taken ill and dozens
hospitalized in the outbreak, believed to have been caused by
feces bacteria in the town water supply.
