Retail price hike in Serbia in August 0.4 pct
BELGARDE - Retail price hike in Serbia in August was 0.4 pct, which in the assessment of the National Bank of Yugoslavia is the lowest monthly retail price hike since October 1997.
The National bank of Yugoslavia statement said that total inflation in the January-August period was 9 pct. If prices are to rise by the end of the year at the same average rate as in the first six months, the annual inflation rate in 2002 will be 12 pct.
