One third of water supply system in Serbia is not working properly
Expert team from the Institute for health protection in Serbia, in cooperation with UNICEF completed in 1999. study " Drinking water supply of population in Serbia". It was concluded that "quality of drinking water in Serbia is becoming worse" and that number of supply systems that are risk from the health point of view". This was the last study of that kind.
It was also stated in that study that every third supply system is improper and risky because of microbiological incorrectness".
