Britain writes off 450 million dollars of Yugoslavia's debt
BELGRADE - The agreement between Britain and Yugoslavia on the settlement of the latter's debt, concluded within the framework of the agreement the Yugoslav government had reached with the governments of the creditor-countries of the Paris Club on December 28, 2001, went into force Friday, the Yugoslav Foreign Ministry said.
Britain is Yugoslavia's largest creditor, and the agreement practically writes off 450 million dollars, or 51 percent of Yugoslavia's debt to Britain.
