Teachers unions threaten strike
BELGRADE – Serbian education unions today threatened to call a strike in all primary and secondary schools if teachers salaries are not raised.
Union leader Branislav Pavlovic told media that no agreement was reached at a meeting held yesterday with Education Minister Gaso Knezevic because Finance Minister Bozidar Djelic failed to appear.
Pavlovic added that the union’s national committee would meet on August 26 to discuss calling a strike. (Beta)
