Taxes on excess profit generate 120 million German marks, Djelic
BELGRADE - The one-time tax on excess profit has in the past year generated a total of 120 million German marks, Serbian Finance and Economy Minister Bozidar Djelic said on Tuesday.
Djelic told a press conference that in that period 1,120 orders for the collection of taxes
totaling 784.7 million DM were issued and that the bulk of the taxes were for the primary and grey money issue,
contingents and housing facilities. According to Djelic, in the past year 188 orders were issued for the forced collection of the amount of 145 million DM, of which 59 million DM were collected, 514 procedures worth 30 million DM were halted, while the final goal of the excess profit tax should total 200 million DM.
