Serbia's section of River Sava offers huge opportunities for river tourism
BELGRADE - The entire 208-km-long section of the River Sava which flows through Serbia can be navigated by tourist craft, representatives of a
nautical expedition of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce announced on Tuesday.
The president of the Nautical Tourism Group of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Borislav Vasic, said that this summer the expedition is gathering data in the sphere of naval, tourism and hydro-geography which will shortly be presented on a CD, web-site, DVD and a special nautical atlas. The Sava also provides ample opportunities for the development of hunting, fishing and ecology tourism, as well as photo-safaris, Vasic stated. He announced that similar expeditions would be organized on Serbia's other rivers.
