WB grants Montenegro loan, supports Yugoslavia's poverty reduction strategy
WASHINGTON - The World Bank (WB) said on Friday it had approved a 15-million-dollar loan for Montenegro's structural adjustment and supported the basic principles of a poverty reduction strategy in Yugoslavia (Serbia and Montenegro), on the basis of a report on this document made by its experts and the International Monetary Fund.
WB director for South-East Europe Christian Portman said the WB was glad to have the opportunity to base its strategy of support to transition on programmes marked as priority by the Serbian and Montenegrin governments.
