Germany donates ten million euros for heating plants
BELGRADE – The German Government has agreed to donate ten million dollars for the reconstruction of central heating plants in the cities of Belgrade, Nis and Novi Sad.
The funds will be used for the renovations intended to improve the efficiency of the plants and save electricity during the winter months, said Serbian Trade Minister Slobodan Milosavljevic.
Under the agreement signed today with the German Credit Bank for Reconstruction KfW, the cities will contribute 4.5 million euros to the program.
The German Government invested 7.7 million euros in Serbia’s heating system last year and this year’s work is intended as the second phase of the reconstruction already completed.
