Yugoslavia earns 5.5 million dollars through tourism in four months
BELGRADE - The National Bank of Yugoslavia registered a 5.5-million-dollar hard currency influx from tourism in the first four months of this year, which represents a 52-percent increase in comparison with the same period of 2001, the Yugoslav Statistics Bureau said on Tuesday.
In January-May, 994,000 registered tourists had 3.1 million overnight stays in the accommodation facilities in Yugoslavia, which means that the number of tourists increased by 2.5 percent, but that the number of overnight stays dropped by four percent in comparison with the same period last year.
