World Bank approves of Yugoslav export credit agency
WASHINGTON - The World Bank has said that it supports a creation of the Serbian-Montenegrin Export Credit Agency (SMECA) which is to help Yugoslav exporters in their reintegration into both regional and global economy, the bank's website said.
The agency will promote growth, employment and the integration of the Serbian and Montenegrin economy with Europe, said Loyd Edgecombe, who is in charge of the project, and added that SMECA would also try to place Yugoslav exporters on favorable grounds so that they be on the same level with those from the neighboring countries, which were granted similar services more than a decade ago.
